Watch: KL Rahul says they are as clueless about the pitches as the opposition coach Andy Flower says otherwise
Following Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) second win at home against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), skipper KL Rahul said that they have no idea about the pitches and that they are just as clueless as the visiting teams. However, when the same question was asked to LSG head coach Andy Flower he said that the management informs them prior to the match about the pitch. Its not just surprising for them , its surprising for us as well. We are playing for the first time here at the Ekana and we are as clueless as the opposition, said KL in a video shared on LSGs Youtube account. Watch video: We have an upper hand cause we have been practising at this pitch for the last two weeks, thats our only advantage, he added. Actually, we havent got that much control of it. The BCCI or the IPL, have put a couple of ground staff, curators - in charge of our grounds and particularly pitches. So, they tell us what we are playing on, said Flower when asked about surprising the visitors with a new pitch every time. Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Brian Lara had said that the pitch wasnt conducive to proper stroke play. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants will face Faf du Plesis Bangalore in their fourth match of the tournament at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Monday, April 10th.
