Warm Weather on the Horizon: Temperatures to Soar This Weekend!

Get ready for a significant warm-up! After a pleasant and dry day with temperatures in the 60s, the forecast is calling for a steady climb throughout the week, culminating in near-80-degree temperatures this weekend. Meteorologist Melanie Black predicts a shift from chilly nights in the 30s to highs in the upper 70s and potentially flirting with 80 degrees in some areas on Saturday.

The warm-up is driven by a warm front moving in, bringing milder air and a west-to-southwest wind that will be gusty, with gusts potentially reaching 20-25 mph. While Saturday will be the warmest day, with the northern MetroWest and Merrimack Valley experiencing the highest temperatures, expect increasing cloud cover throughout the afternoon and the possibility of spot showers in the evening. Overnight into Saturday morning, a few showers are also possible.

A cold front will bring isolated showers Saturday evening, but thankfully, it won't significantly impact Sunday's temperatures. Highs will remain in the low 60s, making for pleasant weather, especially for Easter, with sunshine expected. The good news continues into next week, with Marathon Monday expected to be dry and mild. Any anticipated showers are now expected to hold off until nighttime into Tuesday.

BNN's Perspective: This is welcome news for those eager for spring weather! While the gusty winds might be a minor inconvenience, the overall forecast promises a delightful weekend and a promising start to the week ahead. It's a good reminder to enjoy the sunshine and plan some outdoor activities while the weather is favorable.
