The role involves leading the technology team at a 24/7 news station, overseeing broadcast engineers, IT specialists, and facility technicians. The VP will be responsible for the reliability of all systems, including master control operations for ABC OTV's streaming channels.
The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in media technology, operations, and project management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. They should demonstrate a proven ability to lead high-performance teams, manage diverse tasks, and influence senior management. Strong critical thinking, strategic planning, and project management skills are essential. The candidate must also possess experience in vendor management, clear communication skills, and experience in end-to-end integration of broadcast and/or IT systems.
Preferred qualifications include advanced knowledge of broadcast equipment and systems, IT networks, cloud technologies, and experience with platforms like Dalet and Overdrive. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with advanced degrees or industry certifications considered a plus.
