MountainOne Bank Bolsters Commercial Banking Division with New Credit Analysts

NORTH ADAMS – MountainOne Bank has announced the addition of two senior commercial credit analysts to its commercial banking division. Ann Barnes and Nicholas Fanfan will join the team, bringing a wealth of experience to the institution.

In their new roles, Barnes and Fanfan will be responsible for assessing the financial health of commercial borrowers and potential clients. Their duties will include preparing credit analyses to support new and renewed credit applications, working with commercial lenders on structuring deals and managing portfolios, and monitoring borrower performance to ensure the quality of the commercial loan portfolio.

Barnes comes to MountainOne with over a decade of experience in commercial lending and collateral oversight. Her most recent position was as vice president of collateral oversight at Blue Ridge Bank. Prior to that, she held leadership roles at Salus Capital Partners, supporting asset-based lending and credit risk management. Barnes holds a degree in accounting from Bryant University.

Fanfan joins MountainOne with experience in commercial credit and lending from Cambridge Savings Bank, where he supported credit decisions across various commercial portfolios. He earned a bachelor of science degree in managerial economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Marie Harris, vice president and credit administration manager at MountainOne Bank, expressed her enthusiasm for the new hires, stating that both Barnes and Fanfan will be valuable assets as the bank continues to serve its commercial clients and communities.

BNN's Perspective: The addition of experienced credit analysts like Barnes and Fanfan is a positive sign for MountainOne Bank. Strengthening the credit analysis team is crucial for maintaining a healthy loan portfolio and supporting responsible lending practices, which ultimately benefits both the bank and the local economy.
