Tripura Man, Siddhartha Saha Aims For Guinness World Record With Quilling Paper Art

A banker by profession, quilling is a hobby that Saha first began in 2012. But it was during the pandemic-induced lockdown that Saha thought of taking it up seriously.

As his interest flourished, he wished to do more with his talent. He first set his eyes on the India Book of Records. Presenting a 3D quilling miniature artwork, he successfully gained recognition for it.

As the lockdown ended, Saha got busy with his regular job. Soon, he felt the need to return to quilling.
But his first form submission to Guinness failed to get accepted. Without losing heart, he applied again in 2022.After acceptance this time around, he began working diligently since January towards achieving his goal of 'Largest display of quilling hearts'.
Saha says, "I actually have very limited resources and helping hands. In spite of all the odds, I am preparing myself for this big day. My town is also getting ready.."
It will all come down to the Lalit Kala Academy exhibition at Agartala, Tripura, to be held from May 27 to May 29, 2023, where he will showcase a total of 20,00 quilling hearts.
