Ferrari Enters the Electric Era with the Luce

Ferrari has officially unveiled its first all-electric vehicle, the Luce, marking a significant shift for the iconic Italian automaker. The Luce, co-designed by Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson of the LoveFrom creative collective, presents a departure from traditional Ferrari aesthetics. Its design features rounded corners, soft edges, and pastel colors, a stark contrast to the aggressive lines typically associated with the brand.

Despite its unconventional appearance, the Luce boasts impressive performance figures. It houses four electric engines, one for each wheel, generating 1,035 horsepower. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 310 km/h. The Luce is equipped with a 122 kWh battery, offering a range of at least 530 kilometers.

The vehicle incorporates advanced technology, including the ability to control each wheel's motion independently, an active suspension system derived from the Ferrari F80, and a new Vehicle Control Unit. The design also features extensive use of Corning Gorilla Glass. Ferrari has also focused on creating an authentic sound experience for the electric vehicle.

The Luce will be priced starting at 550,000 in Italy. Production is scheduled to begin in late 2026, with deliveries expected to commence in early 2027.
