Solana made a bold statement in New York City last week, hosting a sold-out "Accelerate" conference that signaled its ambition to become a leading platform for real-world assets (RWAs). The event, packed with industry leaders and government officials, showcased Solana's focus on attracting institutional investors and challenging Ethereum's dominance in the RWA space.
A key announcement was the collaboration between Solana and R3, a private protocol provider for financial institutions. This partnership aims to bridge the gap between traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi), allowing for the tokenization and instant movement of securities.
