The Outer Worlds 2 offers players the opportunity to collect a variety of unique pets to accompany them on their interstellar journey. While these companions don't provide gameplay bonuses, they offer a fun and engaging way to personalize your ship, The Incognito. Players can acquire these creatures through various means, including purchasing them from vendors and completing side quests.

The first pet, the Premium Edition Sprat, is available to those who purchased the Premium Edition of the game. This rat-like creature can be summoned at the pet station on The Incognito after the prologue. Another early acquisition is Lucy the Crabble, found on Paradise Island. Players can find Lucy at a Crabble Farm and recruit her by healing her.

As players progress, they can acquire more pets. The Hover Drone is available for purchase at Hazel's Automated Wares and Repairs on Paradise Island, but requires obtaining fake credentials. The Zyranium Mantiwasp can be purchased from Bonnie's Battlefield Bazaar in Golden Ridge.

Further into the game, players can find the Gold Canid and Raptidon Juvenile at the Value-Added Esplanade on The ACS Undisputed Claim. Finally, the Electric Mantiwasp is available for purchase from Quartermaster Owsley at Auntie's Border Camp on Praetor.
