Gray Skies Give Way to Sunshine: A Weather Update for the Week Ahead

Tired of the dreary weather? You're not alone! After a weekend dominated by rain and drizzle, today offers a slight improvement, though don't expect a complete turnaround. While temperatures will be a bit warmer, expect more scattered showers rather than the all-day downpour experienced yesterday. Coastal areas are most likely to see showers, as the storm's center is offshore. Expect a chilly, brisk day with overcast skies and a noticeable breeze.

Central Massachusetts will fare slightly better, with fewer showers drifting through the Metro West and along the 495 corridor. However, a completely dry day isn't in the cards. This continues the trend of a rather gray April, as indicated by the "green square" on the precipitation calendar.

The good news? **Sunshine is on the horizon!** Monday promises a welcome change, with mild air and sunshine returning. It's a perfect day to get outside! Temperatures will climb into the 60s, with a few high clouds at times.

Tuesday will remain mild, but the chance of showers returns. While not as sunny as Monday, temperatures will stay in the 60s. Showers will come in two waves: the first during the morning commute, followed by a dry midday. Expect pop-up showers in the afternoon as the sun breaks through. So, while you might see a raindrop or two, it won't be a full-blown rainy day.
