"Suits LA" Canceled: NBC Pulls the Plug After One Season
NBC has made the decision to cancel the "Suits" spin-off series, "Suits LA," after just one season. This disappointing news arrives ahead of the show's Season 1 finale, scheduled to air on May 18th.
The series, starring Stephen Amell ("Arrow") as Ted Black, a former New York federal prosecutor turned Los Angeles power lawyer, aimed to capture the legal drama magic of its predecessor. The show followed Black as he navigated a crisis at his firm, forcing him to embrace a role he once despised.
"Suits LA" boasted a strong supporting cast, including Josh McDermitt ("The Walking Dead"), Lex Scott Davis ("Ricky Stanicky"), and Bryan Greenberg ("How to Make It in America"). Adding to the appeal, the spin-off brought back familiar faces from the original "Suits" series. Gabriel Macht reprised his iconic role as Harvey Specter for a three-episode arc, delighting fans. Rick Hoffman, who played Louis Litt, also made a guest appearance.
While Macht expressed optimism about the show's potential for a second season, stating he believed the cast and crew had the ability to keep the show going, NBC ultimately decided against a renewal. The cancellation leaves fans wondering what could have been and marks the end of the road for "Suits LA."
