Spider-Noir: Everything We Know About the Upcoming Series Starring Nicolas Cage
Get ready, Spider-Verse fans! Nicolas Cage is bringing his iconic Spider-Man Noir to life in a new live-action series coming to MGM+ and Prime Video in 2026. The series, based on the popular Spider-Man Noir comic books, promises a gritty, noir-infused take on the web-slinger in 1930s New York.
The series will follow a down-on-his-luck private investigator haunted by his past as the city's only superhero. Cage, who previously voiced the character in *Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse*, will star in the titular role. The cast also includes Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Li Jun Li, and others.
Filming for *Spider-Noir* has already wrapped, taking place between August 2024 and March 2025. The project is currently in post-production, with an expected release sometime in 2026. While an exact release date hasn't been announced, fans can expect to see the series debut on MGM+ domestically and then globally on Prime Video the following day.
Amazon's annual upfront presentation gave fans a first look at Cage in the comic-book-accurate suit, generating excitement for the series. While an official trailer is yet to be released, a teaser may be released at the end of 2025 or in the first quarter of 2026. The series is slated to have eight episodes, each 45 minutes long.
