South Florida Braces for Continued Wet Weather

Miami, FL - South Florida residents are advised to prepare for continued wet conditions as a stalled weather front keeps the region under a persistent threat of showers and thunderstorms. After a dry start to the spring season, the area has experienced a shift towards wetter weather patterns.

A weather front, currently stalled near Central Florida, has been the primary driver of the unsettled conditions. This front triggered a flood watch for metro and coastal areas of Miami-Dade and Broward counties, which has been extended through today. Looking ahead to the weekend, a shift towards drier conditions is anticipated. While an isolated shower is possible on Friday, the weekend forecast promises significantly drier and brighter weather. However, residents should be prepared for windy conditions, with wind gusts potentially reaching up to 35 mph beginning Friday and continuing through the weekend.
