Local Resident Ruth Minch Passes Away at 90

Swanzey resident Ruth A. Minch, born in 1935, has passed away at the age of 90 on January 21, 2026. Minch leaves behind a life defined by service, faith, and love, impacting the lives of many.

Minch dedicated a significant portion of her life to caring for others. She worked as a caregiver with Home Health Care, a role she found fulfilling. Even after retirement, her commitment to helping others continued, extending to neighbors and friends. Her empathy and generosity left a lasting impression on those she encountered.

A devoted member of Beth-El Bible Church for over 50 years, Minch was known for her unwavering dedication to her church community. She was often described as a reliable "taxi service," frequently transporting others to church services. Her actions reflected her tenacious and dependable nature, embodying the spirit of a true New Englander.

Minch cherished spending time with her family, particularly enjoying trips to Tennessee to visit her daughter, and to Virginia to see her sister-in-law. One of her most memorable experiences was traveling to Los Angeles to attend her grandsons Ph.D. ceremony, which also included a visit to the Grand Canyon.

She is survived by her daughter, Heidi Kezar, and her husband, Mark Kezar; her grandchildren, Rachel and Alex; her nephew, Rick; her beloved cat, Little Joe, along with extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Beth-El Bible Church on January 31, 2026, with food and refreshments provided afterward.
