McCann Tech and Lee Teams Secure Victories, Eye League Titles

In a weekend of high school basketball action, several teams are positioning themselves for league titles and playoff runs. The McCann Tech boys' basketball team is on the cusp of claiming the Tri-County North League championship after a decisive 62-43 victory over Mohawk Trail. Led by Zach Howland's 17 points and Jaxson Pilot's 16, the Hornets improved to 10-2 in the league, holding the best record.

Monument Mountain's boys' team secured a significant win against Wahconah, 56-44, solidifying their state tournament bid. After a slow start, the Spartans have won eight of their last ten games. Dom Calautti led the team with 15 points.

The Lee boys' team edged out Lenox in a close contest, 49-46, completing a sweep of their rivalry series. Despite Lenox's resilience, Lee's Mason Lucy scored 12 points.

In girls' basketball, the Lee Wildcats dominated Monson with a 60-10 victory, completing a perfect league record in the Franklin North. Mika Diller and Giana Carlino led the scoring for Lee. The McCann Tech girls' team also secured a win, defeating Pathfinder 40-23. Faith Brazeau and Aiden Champney contributed significantly to the Hornets' victory.
