Rosemont Hotel Reopens After Extensive Renovation

Rosemont officials have approved sign code variations for a recently renovated hotel, marking a significant investment in the area. The Hyatt Centric Chicago O'Hare, formerly the Hyatt Rosemont Chicago/O'Hare, has reopened after undergoing a $30 million makeover. Chicago developer Bradford Allen acquired the property in July 2022, with renovations commencing last November. The hotel officially reopened in late June.

The revamped hotel boasts 206 remodeled guest rooms, including two new junior suites and a top-floor presidential suite. It also features over 7,600 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, designed to accommodate conferences, weddings, and other gatherings. A key addition is Cima Restaurant, a Mediterranean-inspired dining establishment with a full-service bar and a 50-seat patio. The restaurant is open to both hotel guests and the public for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Other upgrades include a new all-glass porte cochere, a reconfigured lobby with floor-to-ceiling art, and new food and beverage outlets. These outlets include a bar offering craft beers and charcuterie boards, as well as a bistro market serving coffee and pastries. The renovation also encompassed new building systems, including heating and cooling, fire alarms, and a new roof. The project was designed by KOO Architecture and The Gettys Group, with Maverick Hotels & Restaurants continuing as the property's management company.

The hotel's CEO, Robert Habeeb, highlighted the hotel's aim to provide a dynamic space for travelers, blending leisure and adventure. An official ribbon-cutting event is planned for late August or early September.

BNN's Perspective: The substantial investment in the Hyatt Centric Chicago O'Hare signals a positive outlook for the local hospitality sector. The upgrades, including the new restaurant and event spaces, are likely to attract both leisure and business travelers. This renovation, coupled with potential redevelopment plans in the area, suggests a commitment to growth and revitalization.
