Red Hawks' swimmers qualify for state meet

Head coach of the Montrose Red Hawks boys swimming team Jill Barton has released the names of the local athletes who have qualified to compete in the Colorado High School Activities Association state swimming championships to be held at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center in Thornton on Friday and Saturday, May 12-13.
All of the kids qualified for state either in relay or as individuals," Barton said. "This is awesome. I can only take the top A relay team so I will be bringing a lot of alternates just to give the experience of a state meet to more of our team.
200-meter medley relay: Zeke Waxler, Hunter Barton, Alec Hattner, Alex Radovich
200-yard freestyle: Lucas Motley
50-yard freestyle: Alex Radovich, Benedek Algacs
One meter diving: Gabe Woodland
100-yard butterfly: Benedek Algacs, Alec Hatter
100-yard freestyle: Lucas Motley, Zeke Waxler
100-yard breaststroke: Benedek Algacs
200-yard freestyle relay: Benedek Algacs, Barnabas Algacs, Alex Radovich, Lucas Motley
400-yard freestyle relay: Benedek Algacs, Barnabas Algacs, Zeke Waxler, Lucas Motley
