Derrick Henry Climbs All-Time Rushing List, Powers Ravens Offense
Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry achieved a significant milestone during Saturday night's game against the Green Bay Packers. In his tenth NFL season, and second with the Ravens, Henry surpassed Tony Dorsett on the all-time rushing yards list.
Entering Week 17 of the 2025 season, Henry needed 64 yards to pass Dorsett's career total of 12,739 yards. He achieved this feat in the first half of the game, racking up 106 yards on 21 carries and scoring three touchdowns. This performance propelled him into 10th place on the NFL's all-time rushing list, solidifying his place among the league's elite running backs.
Henry's dominant performance was crucial for the Ravens, who were without their star quarterback, Lamar Jackson, due to injury. Quarterback Tyler Huntley provided efficient passing, while Henry spearheaded the offense, helping the Ravens build a 27-14 halftime lead over the Packers. The Ravens' receiving corps, led by Isaiah Likely, Mark Andrews, and Zay Flowers, also contributed to the team's offensive success.
The Ravens are now preparing for their regular-season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers on January 4th.
BNN's Perspective:
Derrick Henry's achievement is a testament to his longevity and skill. While the Ravens' success is dependent on a strong team effort, Henry's ability to consistently perform at a high level, even at this stage of his career, is remarkable. His performance provides a boost to the Ravens' playoff hopes.
