A proposed state constitutional amendment to eliminate property taxes in Ohio is moving forward, with supporters now cleared to gather the necessary signatures. The Ohio Ballot Board approved the amendment, which aims to address concerns about the fairness of the current property tax system. The Citizens for Property Tax Reform, the group behind the initiative, argues that rising property values are unfairly increasing tax burdens on homeowners without providing immediate financial benefits.
