Prince Andrew Accused of Viewing Sex with Accuser as a "Birthright" in New Memoir

A new memoir by Virginia Giuffre, who died by suicide earlier this year, details alleged sexual encounters with Prince Andrew when she was a teenager. The book, titled "Nobodys Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice," is being released posthumously.

An excerpt published by The Guardian reveals Giuffre's account of her first encounter with Prince Andrew in March 2001. She claims the encounter was orchestrated by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Giuffre describes being introduced to Prince Andrew and later being instructed by Maxwell to "do for him what you do for Jeffrey." Giuffre alleges that Prince Andrew behaved in an entitled manner, as if he believed having sex with her was his "birthright." She recounts the encounter, which she says lasted less than half an hour. She also claims she received $15,000 for the encounter.

Giuffre's memoir also details a second encounter a month later and a third encounter on Epstein's private island. She alleges the third encounter involved an orgy with Epstein, Prince Andrew, and approximately eight other young girls.

Prince Andrew previously denied Giuffre's allegations and said he did not recall meeting her. In 2022, he settled with Giuffre for an undisclosed sum, agreeing to make a donation to her survivors organization. Epstein was found dead in his New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. Maxwell was convicted in 2021 for helping lure teenage girls to be sexually abused by Epstein and is serving a 20-year prison sentence.

BNN's Perspective:

The allegations detailed in Giuffre's memoir are deeply disturbing and paint a troubling picture of the individuals involved. While the legal proceedings have concluded, the details continue to raise serious questions about the behavior of those in positions of power and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals. It is important to remember that these are allegations, and the legal system has addressed the matter. However, the narrative highlights the need for continued scrutiny of those who abuse their power and the importance of supporting survivors of abuse.
