Disney Entertainment Seeks Photojournalist for Houston ABC Station

Disney Entertainment is seeking a photojournalist to join its ABC-owned station in Houston, KTRK, also known as ABC13. The photojournalist will be responsible for shooting and editing news stories in the field, collaborating with reporters to create content for both linear and digital broadcasts. Key responsibilities include demonstrating good news judgment, proficiency in lighting, audio, and non-linear editing, and operating a live truck. The role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work under deadline, and the flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.

The ideal candidate will possess three years of television news experience and a clean driving record. The position also requires the ability to lift and carry at least 30 pounds of equipment and potentially stand for extended periods. While not required, the ability to be comfortable on-camera is considered a plus. A high school diploma is a mandatory educational requirement.
