Local Community Mourns the Loss of Rose Marie St. Onge
Augusta is mourning the passing of Rose Marie St. Onge, who died on January 8, 2026, at the age of 66. The cause of death was complications from diabetes. Known for her warmth and generosity, Rose will be remembered for her dedication to her family and her ability to make a positive impact on the lives of those around her.
Born on December 8, 1959, in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Rose consistently prioritized the needs of others. She was known for her boundless care and her efforts to ensure the happiness of her children and loved ones. Beyond her family, Rose found joy in design and landscaping, using her talents to create beauty in her surroundings.
Rose is survived by her sons, Jeremy St. Onge and Adam St. Onge, along with their spouses. She also leaves behind her brother, Paul Fournier, and his wife, Patricia. Her six grandchildren, Dylan, Parker, Anderson, Ayla, Bryce, and Emery, will also cherish her memory. Additionally, she is survived by her biological mother, Yvette Bosse, and several siblings. She is also survived by her close friend, Mark Doyon, and her lifelong friend, Janice Lake. Many other friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins will remember her fondly.
A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held on Monday, January 19, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the spring. The family has expressed gratitude to MaineGeneral, particularly Dr. Aldilaimi, Dr. Dunn, and nurse Jen, for their compassionate care.
Arrangements are being handled by Plummer Funeral Home. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to MaineGeneral Kidney Care. Condolences, stories, and photos can be shared online.
