Obituary: Michael Pinnette
Michael Pinnette passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 5, 2025, at Mount Joseph Nursing Home. Born on February 8, 1953, he was a graduate of Waterville Public Schools and later studied heating and air conditioning at Northeastern University.
Pinnette was known for his vibrant personality. He married Maryann Chalmers in 1979, becoming a stepfather to three children and later welcoming his daughter, Amanda. He later married Kim Vigue in 1990, and they had a son, Jonathan. Pinnette was deeply proud of his children.
He made a significant impact on others, particularly through his involvement with the Hospice Family starting in 1994, providing compassionate end-of-life care. Diagnosed with Lupus in 2003, he continued to volunteer at the Cohen Center. Pinnette was known for his efforts to bring joy to others, often sharing inspiring items like hats, shirts, and small trinkets.
Pinnette was predeceased by his parents, Joyce and Herbert Pinnette, his ex-wife, Kim Vigue, and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Clark, and her husband Josh, son, Jonathan Pinnette, granddaughters Paige and Drew Clark, brother and sister, Vicki King and Stanley Pinnette, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 13th at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The family has requested that attendees wear bright colors and hats in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Save our Strays or the Humane Society.
