Ernie was one of seven children. He is survived by his son, Leon Bryant, and stepson, Wayne. He also leaves behind a granddaughter, Jess Bryant, and numerous adopted children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ernie was known for his kindness and willingness to help others, often assisting in raising children.

Throughout his life, Ernie was an industrious man. As a child, he enjoyed working alongside his father, and later, he worked at a sawmill. He had a variety of interests, including playing cards, dancing, music, puzzles, traveling, and socializing with his community. He found love again with Joan Bowley, and the pair were inseparable.

A celebration of life will be held on March 22 at 2 p.m. at the Elks Lodge. The event will be a potluck, and attendees are encouraged to wear their best attire, as Ernie always appreciated a well-dressed appearance.
