Benton, Maine – The community of Benton and Fairfield is mourning the passing of Claudette Roy, who died peacefully at her home on December 29, 2025, at the age of 80. Roy, a long-time resident, was known for her dedication to her community and her unwavering love for her family.

Roy's life was marked by a commitment to serving others. She began her career working in local convenience stores before finding her calling at MSAD 49. Over three decades, she became a valued colleague and friend, retiring after years of dedicated service.

Beyond her professional life, Roy's family was her greatest source of pride and joy. She is survived by her four children: Sherry and her husband Troy, Bryan, Samantha, and Kathy and her husband Parrish. She was a devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren: Adam, Ronald, Cassaundra, Amanda, Montana, Donna, and Jade. Her legacy continues through her six great-grandchildren. Roy was predeceased by her son-in-law, Kevin.
