Cecile Marie Roussel, aged 80, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on May 5, 1945, she was a long-time resident.

Roussel spent a significant portion of her career at Cottles Family Supermarket, later Hannaford, where she worked in the bakery department before retiring in 1998. She married Ronald L. Roussel on September 9, 1967, and together they raised their children, Michelle and Richard.

Family was central to Roussel's life. She cherished her children and grandchildren, finding joy in family gatherings filled with laughter and shared stories. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church, now St. Michaels Parish, and found strength in her faith. Known for her positive outlook and sense of humor, she was beloved by many.

Roussel is survived by her children and their spouses, as well as several grandchildren and siblings. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Roussel, a granddaughter, and other family members.

Visiting hours will be held on May 11, with a Mass of Christian burial on May 12. Burial will take place on May 27. The family has expressed gratitude to the caregivers who provided care over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital or the National Catholic Bioethics Center.
