North West to Launch Fashion and Jewelry Line
North West, the 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, is preparing to enter the fashion industry with her own brand, NOR11. The brand name is derived from the first three letters of North's name and her age when the idea was conceived.
Kim Kardashian has filed three trademark applications for NOR11, covering clothing and accessories, watches and jewelry, and various bags. The trademark applications were filed by KimYes Kid Inc., a California-based company where Kardashian is listed as the only officer. The registered office belongs to business manager Lou Taylor.
The upcoming line follows a trend set by her parents, with Kim Kardashian's brand, Skims, and Kanye West's Yeezy brand. North has been seen wearing items with the NOR11 logo, hinting at the upcoming launch.
North's recent activities have also included a new rap song, "PIERCING ON MY HAND," which she wrote, produced, and performed. The song's credits on Spotify are blank, while YouTube credits state it was written, produced, and performed by North alone.
Kardashian has defended her daughter's self-expression, stating that North has rules but is allowed freedom in expressing herself. North is homeschooled and spends time in music studio sessions.
BNN's Perspective:
While it's understandable that a parent would support their child's creative endeavors, the level of control and branding at such a young age raises questions. It's important to balance creative freedom with the need to protect a child's well-being and privacy. The success of NOR11 will depend on whether it can navigate the complexities of the fashion world while prioritizing North's personal development.
