Nintendo Sets Ambitious Switch 2 Sales Target for Next Year

Despite a slight dip in annual playing users (down by approximately 1 million to 128 million), the original Switch hardware is approaching 150 million units sold globally. Digital sales were down 26.5% year-on-year, though the proportion of digital sales versus physical rose.

Looking back at the past year, Nintendo highlighted the success of titles like Super Mario Party Jamboree, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to be a powerhouse, adding millions more sales to its already impressive total.
