Nicole Clemens Tapped to Lead Prime Video's International Originals
Amazon's Prime Video is bolstering its international content strategy with the appointment of Nicole Clemens as its new Vice President and Head of International Originals. Clemens, a seasoned executive with a strong track record in the entertainment industry, will officially take the reins on July 7th.
In her new role, Clemens will be responsible for overseeing the development and production of original movies and series across a vast network of over 20 territories. This includes managing teams in key regions such as Europe, Latin America, the Asia Pacific, the Middle East, North Africa, Canada, and Australia. She will initially be based at Amazon MGM Studios headquarters in Culver City before relocating to London.
Clemens brings a wealth of experience to Prime Video. Most recently, she served as the president of Paramount Television Studios and previously led the programming strategy for Paramount+ at its launch. Notably, she has already overseen the development and production of several successful Prime Video series, including *Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan*, *Reacher*, and *Cross*.
Clemens will be supported by a strong team of international originals leaders, including Javiera Balmaceda, Tara Erer, Nicole Morganti, and John Holmes. Nikhil Madhok, who leads international originals in India, will also remain part of Clemens' leadership team.
This appointment comes as Prime Video continues to expand its international content offerings. Last year, the streaming service produced over 140 international and original series and movies, marking its most successful year to date. Some of the international hits include *Culpa Nuestra* (Spain), *Red Queen* (Spain), *Maxton Hall* (Germany), and *Betty La Fea* (Colombia).
