Nicole Clemens Takes the Helm of Amazon MGM's International Originals

Amazon MGM Studios is bolstering its international content strategy with the appointment of Nicole Clemens as the new Vice President and Head of International Originals. Starting July 7th, Clemens will oversee the development and production of original series and movies for Prime Video internationally, reporting to Kelly Day, Vice President of Prime Video International.

Clemens brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as the President of Paramount Television Studios. During her tenure, she oversaw the creation of global hits like "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan," "Reacher," and "Cross." She also held the position of President of Original Scripted Series for Paramount+, leading the streaming service's programming strategy at its launch. Before Paramount, Clemens held key roles at FX Networks and ICM Partners.

This move comes as Amazon MGM Studios continues to reshape its television leadership, following recent changes. Clemens will initially work from the Amazon MGM Studios headquarters in Culver City before relocating to Prime Video's London office.

Day's announcement highlighted the success of Amazon MGM's international originals, with over 140 series and movies produced across more than 20 territories last year. The upcoming slate includes the third installment of the "Culpa Nuestra" trilogy, returning seasons of popular series like "Maxton Hall" and "Red Queen," and new projects from Korea, India, and Italy. Clemens will be instrumental in guiding the future of Amazon MGM's international content, as the company invests in global series and movies.

Clemens will lead a team of international originals leaders, including Javiera Balmaceda, Tara Erer, Nicole Morganti, and John Holmes. Nikhil Madhok will continue to report to Gaurav Gandhi while remaining part of Clemens' leadership team. Marc Hausmaninger and Sam Semon will also support Clemens and the International Originals team.
