Nick Jonas laughs as BBC interviewer calls him jiju reacts to Indian paparazzi calling him Nickua: Great to hear any nicknames

Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas in 2018, and since then, the American singer has often been addressed as 'Nick jiju' by his Indian fans. In fact, during his visits to Mumbai, the desi paparazzi also addresses him as 'jiju', and in a recent chat with BBC Asian Network, Nick laughed when the interviewer asked him if she too, could call him 'jiju', a term of endearment for 'brother-in-law'. Nick laughed, and said, "A lot of people do (call me jiju)." The Maan Meri Jaan singer said that during his recent visit to India, where he accompanied Priyanka Chopra at the grand launch event of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, "all the photographers on the red carpet were calling me jiju." The host then made him listen to another clip from the red carpet, where one of the photographers can be heard saying, 'Ae Nickua.' Nick said, "Yes, I did hear that." He added, "It was very good to be back. I love India. It has been a couple of years since I've been there because of Covid, so this was a really fun trip. So yes, great to hear the many nicknames I have now." Nick also spoke about his love for Indian food, and said that he would pick jalebi and samosa over gulab jamun and spring roll. He shared that even though he has been married for five years, Priyanka's friends and family keep checking with him about the amount of spice he can handle in his food. Although, he said that he can't have pickles as he finds them too spicy. Nick Jonas has been promoting his upcoming album with the Jonas Brothers, titled 'The Album'. The brothers recently finished a residency in Las Vegas. Nick was also seen in a cameo in Priyanka's latest Hollywood movie, Love Again.
