CONCORD, N.H. – A New Hampshire man has been charged in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at the state's border with Canada, according to federal prosecutors. Blu Zeke Daly, 26, also known as Cullan Zeke Daly, of Manchester, faces charges of attempted murder of a federal officer and assault on a federal officer with a deadly weapon.

The incident unfolded early Sunday morning when a U.S. Border Patrol agent encountered Daly driving near the border. The agent followed Daly to the Pittsburg Port of Entry, which was closed at the time. After the agent activated his emergency lights and exited his vehicle, Daly allegedly fired a handgun at the agent. The agent returned fire, shooting Daly.

Daly is currently hospitalized and under guard, receiving medical treatment. The Border Patrol agent involved was unharmed. The shooting occurred around 1 a.m. Sunday in Pittsburg, a small town located on the border with Canada. The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation is leading the ongoing investigation.
