**Nanni Moretti to Direct Romantic Drama "It Will Happen Tonight"**

Acclaimed Italian director Nanni Moretti is set to begin production on his new film, "It Will Happen Tonight" ("Succeder questa notte"), a romantic drama. The film will star French actor Louis Garrel and Italian actress Jasmine Trinca. This marks the first collaboration between Moretti and Garrel, while Trinca previously starred in Moretti's "The Sons Room" and "The Caiman."

The film is loosely based on the short story collection "Hungry Heart" by Israeli writer Eshkol Nevo. Moretti previously adapted Nevo's novel "Three Floors Up" into the 2021 film "Three Floors." The new film's narrative will intertwine various stories from the source material, exploring the complex bonds that both bind and liberate individuals.

Production is scheduled to begin this fall in Spain and Italy. The cast also includes Angela Finocchiaro, Elena Lietti, Antonio De Matteo, Andrea Lattanzi, Hippolyte Girardot, Pietro Ragusa, and Paolo Sassanelli. Moretti will also make a cameo appearance in the film.

The screenplay was co-written by Moretti, Federica Pontremoli, and Valia Santella. Sacher Film and Fandango are producing the film in collaboration with Rai Cinema.
