It all happened in the third over of MIs innings when Dhoni decided to change the field as Rohit arrived to bat at number three.
The CSK captain opted to place fielders at backward point, short third and a slip while Dhoni himself stepped up to the stumps as Deepak Chahar ran into bowl.
The ploy worked to perfection as Sharma to tried to lap a slower delivery from the pacer but ended up making a mess of it and hit it to Ravindra Jadeja who was stationed at backward point. Great move from MS Dhoni to stand up early on the innings to Rohit Sharma& it worked for him, said commentator Sanjay Manjrekar on air.
