'Monster Hunter Wilds' announces crossover with 'Street Fighter 6'

Monster Hunter Wilds & Street Fighter 6 Unite in Epic Crossover Event!
Get ready, hunters and fighters! Capcom is bringing the worlds of Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter 6 together in a thrilling crossover event, promising a unique blend of monster hunting and martial arts action. The collaboration, announced this week, will permanently integrate Street Fighter elements into the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds game.
The highlight of the crossover is the arrival of the iconic Street Fighter villain, Akuma, who will be battling monstrous foes using his signature moves. A trailer released on Thursday showcases Akuma unleashing his devastating Raging Demon finisher on classic Monster Hunter creatures like Rathian, Ajarakan, and Congalala.
Monster Hunter Wilds players won't just be spectators; they'll be able to embody Akuma themselves! A free Akuma layered armor costume will be available for players to equip on their characters, complete with Akuma's iconic moveset. This exciting addition arrives on May 28th.
But the crossover doesn't stop there. Players can also snag a Blanka-themed layered armor costume for their Palico companions. To unlock these free costumes, players will need to complete a side mission called "Ultimate Strength."
Beyond the free costumes, the collaboration includes paid cosmetic options for Alma, allowing her to dress up as Street Fighter characters Chun-Li and Cammy.
Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X and S. This crossover follows Street Fighter 6's recent collaboration with Overwatch 2. For Street Fighter 6 fans, the fighting game will also be welcoming a new character, Elena, on June 5th. This collaboration promises to be a must-play for fans of both franchises!
