Michigan's Adventure Gears Up for 2026 Season, Announces Hiring Push
Michigan's Adventure, the state's largest amusement and water park, is preparing for its 2026 season with a significant hiring initiative. The park, owned by Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, will begin accepting applications this week to fill a variety of positions.
The hiring event, which is part of a larger effort by Six Flags to fill over 50,000 positions across its North American parks, will take place from Tuesday, February 17th, through Friday, February 20th. Prospective employees can apply online beforehand or register on-site at the park's human resources office.
Michigan's Adventure is seeking to fill numerous roles, including ride operators, food and beverage staff, admissions personnel, park service and cleanliness staff, EMTs and paramedics, security officers, and lifeguards. The park's human resources manager, Laura Jorgensen, emphasized the park's commitment to building a diverse workforce focused on guest satisfaction and employee camaraderie.
The park is offering several benefits to its employees, including flexible schedules, free park admission for employees and their friends, and in-park discounts. Applicants must be at least 15 years old to be considered for employment. The upcoming season is scheduled to begin on May 22nd and conclude on September 1st.
BNN's Perspective: This hiring push by Michigan's Adventure is a positive sign for the local economy and the upcoming tourism season. The park's commitment to providing flexible schedules and employee benefits is a smart strategy to attract and retain a strong workforce. While the amusement park industry can be subject to seasonal fluctuations, this investment in staffing suggests a continued commitment to providing entertainment and employment opportunities within the state.
