Miami Forward Marcus Allen to Miss Season Due to Lymphoma Diagnosis
Coral Gables, Florida – Miami Hurricanes sophomore forward Marcus Allen has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma and will be sidelined for the remainder of the season, the university announced Friday. The diagnosis came after routine medical tests.
Allen, who transferred to Miami this year after beginning his college career at Missouri, has already commenced chemotherapy treatments. During the current season, Allen averaged 5.3 points and 3.1 rebounds in approximately 19 minutes per game.
