New Delhi: India on Tuesday (April 18) reported 7,633 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours, according to the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
This is a marginal dip from Monday's 9,111 cases. The active case count, according to the ministry stands at 61,233. At least 6,702 recoveries have also been made with the recovery rate updated to 98.68 per cent.
There were also 7 new deaths, increasing the toll due to the disease to 5,31,141. According to the health ministry, the fatality rate stands at 1.19 per cent.
