Jennifer Aniston's Home Targeted: Man Charged with Felony Stalking and Vandalism
A man has been charged with felony stalking and felony vandalism after allegedly crashing a car into the front gate of Jennifer Aniston's Bel Air home. Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman announced the charges against 48-year-old Jimmy Wayne Carwyle on Wednesday.
According to the District Attorney's office, Carwyle is accused of repeatedly harassing Aniston, identified as "Jennifer A." in the release, through voicemails, emails, and social media since March 2023. The incident on Monday involved Carwyle driving a vehicle into the gate of Aniston's residence on Airole Way. Property records confirm the home belongs to the actress, and reports indicate she was present at the time of the incident.
The D.A.'s office stated that the crash caused "substantial damage" to the property. Aniston's security guard detained Carwyle before the Los Angeles Police Department arrived. Hochman emphasized the seriousness of stalking, highlighting its potential to escalate into dangerous actions. The D.A.'s office will request a $150,000 bail for Carwyle, whose arraignment is scheduled for Thursday. If convicted on both charges, Carwyle could face up to three years in state prison. The D.A. praised law enforcement and the Stalking and Threat Assessment Team for their work in the case.
