Jennifer Aniston Stalker Charged with Felony Stalking and Vandalism After Gate Crash
A Mississippi man, Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, has been charged with felony stalking and vandalism after allegedly harassing actress Jennifer Aniston for two years and then crashing his car through the front gate of her Los Angeles home. The Los Angeles County District Attorney, Nathan Hochman, announced the charges Wednesday, adding an aggravating circumstance of the threat of great bodily harm.
Carwyle, 48, is accused of repeatedly sending Aniston, referred to as "Jennifer A." by the district attorney, unwanted voicemails, emails, and social media messages beginning in 2023. The situation escalated on Monday when Carwyle drove his vehicle through the gate of Aniston's Bel Air property, causing significant damage. A security guard intervened, stopping him in the driveway before police arrived and made an arrest. Aniston was reportedly at home during the incident, but thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Carwyle, who has been held in jail since his arrest, has a bail set at $150,000 and is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday. If convicted, he could face up to three years in prison. The District Attorney emphasized the commitment to prosecuting those who stalk and terrorize others. Aniston purchased the midcentury mansion in 2012 for approximately $21 million. She is best known for her role in the hit TV show "Friends" and currently stars in "The Morning Show" on Apple TV+.
