American skiing icon Lindsey Vonn, at the age of 41, has qualified for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina, marking her fifth Olympic appearance. Team USA confirmed the news on Tuesday, following Vonn's strong performance at the World Cup in France.
Vonn secured a third-place finish in the super-G event, reaching speeds of 71 mph. This result followed another third-place finish in the downhill, marking her second consecutive podium finish. This adds to her already impressive career, bringing her World Cup podium finishes to 142.
In a post on Instagram, Vonn expressed her honor at representing her country once again, particularly in Cortina, a location she holds dear. She emphasized her commitment to giving her best effort in every race.
