Moradabad Development Authority Launches New Township with Online Bookings

Moradabad is set to welcome a new residential township, Govindpuram, developed by the Moradabad Development Authority (MDA). Online bookings for the first phase of the project commenced on Wednesday, with significant interest from potential buyers. The township, located on Delhi Road, spans approximately 110 acres and offers 477 residential plots.

The plots are priced at 42,000 rupees per square meter. The smallest plot available measures 112.5 square meters, costing approximately 4.7 million rupees. The largest plots are priced up to 1.89 crore rupees. This pricing structure may pose a financial challenge for those with limited resources.

The Govindpuram Township will feature modern amenities, including wide roads, underground sewerage and drainage systems, a power substation, green areas, and parks. A science park, covering approximately 18,000 square meters, is also planned. The project aims to provide a well-planned urban environment.

The MDA has acquired the land from farmers and landowners through mutual agreement. The project's total cost is estimated at around 580 crore rupees. The township will include various plot sizes, including plots for mixed land use and commercial purposes. Additionally, land has been allocated for educational institutions and a community center.

Online registration began on February 18th and will continue until March 20th. Applicants from the general category are required to pay an application fee of 1500 rupees plus 10 percent of the registration fee through the Janhit portal. Exemptions are available for those registering under reservation categories.
