K-Pop Demon Hunters' Success Continues with Kevin Woo's UTA Signing
The momentum behind Netflix's record-breaking film, *KPop Demon Hunters*, shows no signs of slowing down. United Talent Agency (UTA) has announced the signing of Kevin Woo, a prominent K-pop singer, songwriter, and actor, for worldwide representation across all areas. Woo provided the singing voice for the character Mystery Saja of The Saja Boys in the hit film.
This signing follows the agency's previous representation of the film's creator and director, Maggie Kang. Last month, UTA also signed Rei Ami, who sang the voice of Zoey, one of the three voices of HUNTR/X. This news comes on the heels of WME's announcement that they signed EJAE, who sang the part of the lead character Remi.
*KPop Demon Hunters* has become a global phenomenon for Netflix, amassing 315 million views and becoming the streaming service's most-watched film to date. The film's soundtrack has also made history, with four songs simultaneously entering the Billboard Hot 100's Top 10. The fictional boy group The Saja Boys, featured in the film, saw their songs "Your Idol" and "Soda Pop" debut at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
Woo, a former member of the K-pop group U-KISS, previously starred in the Broadway musical *KPOP*, which premiered in 2022. He is scheduled to headline his first U.S. solo concert at the Troubadour on November 25th. His next screen appearance will be in Anderson .Paak's directorial debut, *K-Pops*, slated for theatrical release in January 2026.
Woo is managed by Gary Marella at Mono Music Group for music and Daisy Burnham at Atlas Artists for acting representation.
BNN's Perspective: The continued success of *KPop Demon Hunters* highlights the growing global appeal of K-pop and its influence on the entertainment industry. The signing of Kevin Woo by UTA, along with other key figures associated with the film, suggests a strategic effort to capitalize on the film's popularity and further expand the reach of its talent. This trend underscores the importance of recognizing and investing in diverse artistic voices and content that resonates with a global audience.
