Joy Behar to Take a Brief Hiatus from "The View"
New York, NY - Longtime "The View" co-host Joy Behar announced she will be taking a short break from the daytime talk show. The announcement was made during the show's "Behind the Table" podcast.
Show producer Brian Teta confirmed Behar's absence, stating that the podcast episode would be her last for a short period. Behar revealed she will be traveling to Europe to perform in her play. She will be in Paris and London, where she will be performing her play, "My First Ex-Husband," at the Boulevard Theatre in the West End.
During her absence, several guest hosts will fill in. Sheryl Underwood, who previously filled in for Alyssa Farah Griffin during her maternity leave, will return. Kara Swisher, a left-wing podcast host, will also be joining the panel. Ana Navarro, who typically co-hosts on Mondays and Fridays, will also take on additional duties. Whoopi Goldberg, who usually takes Fridays off, will appear on the show on Fridays during Behar's hiatus.
Behar does not co-host "The View" on Mondays.
BNN's Perspective:
While the absence of a key personality like Joy Behar will undoubtedly be felt by viewers, the show's ability to seamlessly integrate guest hosts and maintain its regular schedule is a testament to its enduring appeal and the strength of its format. The variety of perspectives offered by the fill-in hosts should ensure the show continues to provide engaging discussions on current events.
