Jennifer Aniston's Alleged Stalker Faces Felony Charges
A Mississippi man, Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, is facing serious legal trouble after allegedly stalking actress Jennifer Aniston and crashing his car into the gate of her Bel-Air mansion. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has charged Carwyle with one count of felony stalking and one count of felony vandalism.
The charges stem from a pattern of unwanted contact, including repeated social media messages, voicemails, and emails sent to Aniston. This alleged harassment escalated on May 5th when Carwyle reportedly drove his vehicle into Aniston's front gate, causing damage. He was apprehended by her security guard and later taken into custody by police.
Prosecutors are seeking a bail of $150,000 for the 48-year-old Carwyle, whose arraignment was scheduled for May 8th. If convicted on all charges, he could face up to three years in state prison. The District Attorney, Nathan J. Hochman, emphasized the seriousness of stalking, stating that it can quickly escalate into dangerous behavior and that his office is committed to prosecuting those who terrorize others.
Prior to the incident, Carwyle frequently posted about Aniston on social media, expressing a belief that external forces were preventing them from being together. A childhood friend, Marty Merritt, expressed concern for Carwyle, stating that he needs serious help.
This case highlights the dangers of stalking and the importance of taking such threats seriously. The legal proceedings are ongoing, and the outcome will determine the consequences for Carwyle's actions.
