ITC Q4 net profit rises 23% to Rs 5 175 crore dividend declared at Rs 9.5 per share

ITC on Thursday reported that its consolidated net profit in the March quarter jumped 23.3 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 5,175.48 crore. The cigarettes-to-hotel conglomerate company's net profit in the same quarter last year stood at Rs 4,195.69 crore. The diversified conglomerate has recommended a final dividend of Rs 6.75 and a special dividend of Rs 2.75 per ordinary share. If approved by shareholders, the company's dividend will be paid between August 14 and 17. ITC's total dividend for FY23 stands at Rs 15.50 per ordinary share. The company's revenue from operations jumped up 7 per cent YoY to Rs 19,058 crore in Q4FY23, compared to Rs 17,754 crore in the same period a year ago. ITC's consolidated total income for the March quarter came at Rs 19,667.94 crore from Rs 18,252.64 crore in the same period a year ago. ITC's revenue from the cigarette business jumped 12.61 per cent to Rs 8,082.26 crore in the fourth quarter from Rs 7,177.01 crore in the same period a year ago. The conglomerate's revenue from the FMCG business jumped 15 per cent to Rs 13,033.43 crore YoY from Rs 11,325.63 crore. After the earnings announcement, ITC's share tanked over 2 per cent, and the stock settled at Rs 419.65 on BSE.
