Halsey & Amy Lee Team Up for Haunting New Song "Hand That Feeds" for "Ballerina" Movie

Get ready for a sonic treat! Pop star Halsey and the iconic Amy Lee of Evanescence have joined forces for a haunting new collaboration, "Hand That Feeds," released on Friday, May 9th, for the upcoming action film "Ballerina." The track, a perfect blend of Halsey's pop sensibilities and Lee's signature gothic rock sound, is already captivating fans with its cinematic feel and intense energy.

The song, featuring eerie piano melodies and siren-like drones, perfectly complements the June-slated "Ballerina," a spin-off from the "John Wick" universe starring Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves. The film, set during the events of "John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum," follows assassin Eve Macarro as she trains in Russia.

Fans got a sneak peek of the collaboration when Halsey sent out a text blast a few days prior to the release. The duo officially announced the collaboration just three days before, sharing a promotional photo on Instagram. This team-up is a dream come true for Halsey, who has long been a fan of Evanescence, even cosplaying as Lee during the rollout of her 2024 album, "The Great Impersonator."

"Yes, I am freaking out about it," Halsey wrote to fans, expressing her excitement about working with her idol. "Hand That Feeds" is Halsey's first release since February's "Safeword." For Evanescence, this marks their first release since March, when they released "Afterlife" for the Netflix series "Devil May Cry."
