Elden Ring Nightreign Gets Balance Tweaks Before Launch
FromSoftware is making final adjustments to Elden Ring Nightreign based on player feedback from the recent network test. The developers are specifically targeting two powerful status effects: bleed and frostbite. These effects were deemed "way too strong" by players, prompting the team to rebalance them before the game's launch.
Director Junya Ishizaki confirmed the changes, noting that the team is analyzing data from the network test to refine game balance. The goal is to ensure a challenging but manageable experience as players progress. The team is also working on improvements to the game's menus, UI, and onboarding process, addressing feedback about the clarity of character abilities.
With the launch just around the corner, FromSoftware is also preparing its servers to handle the anticipated influx of players. The team is focused on ensuring a smooth experience, even in the event of server issues. Ishizaki, who has been involved with the game since Dark Souls 3, is excited to see the project come to fruition.
