Forza Horizon 6 to Feature Collaborative World and Track Building
The upcoming racing game, Forza Horizon 6, is set to introduce a significant new feature: collaborative world and track building in online co-op mode. Developers at Playground Games unveiled details of this innovative system, dubbed CO-LAB, during the Xbox Developer Direct event.
The CO-LAB system will allow players to collectively customize their game worlds and design tracks together. This feature builds upon the existing multiplayer aspects of the Forza Horizon series, which has already established itself as a social gaming experience. Players will be able to collaborate on building structures, designing tracks, and personalizing their environments, even around their garages and estates.
The developers have taken player feedback into account, aiming to provide a more engaging and creative multiplayer experience. The game is scheduled for release in May 2026.
BNN's Perspective:
The introduction of CO-LAB in Forza Horizon 6 is a welcome development. The ability to collaboratively build and customize the game world has the potential to significantly extend the game's lifespan and foster a stronger sense of community among players. This feature, combined with the game's setting in Japan, promises a fresh and engaging experience for both casual and dedicated racing fans.
