The music world mourns the loss of Francis Buchholz, the former bassist of the iconic hard rock band Scorpions. Buchholz passed away after a private battle with cancer, as announced by his family on Friday morning. He was 71 years old.
Buchholz's career with the Scorpions spanned 18 years, during which he contributed to 12 albums. He joined the band during a pivotal period, playing on some of their most commercially successful releases. These included the albums *Blackout* (1982), *Love at First Sting* (1984), and *Savage Amusement* (1988). *Love at First Sting* propelled the band to international fame, featuring hits like "Rock You Like a Hurricane."
