Flyers rattled after GoFirst extends cancellation of its flights until May 9

PUNE: Thousands of flyers including many from Pune were shocked after GoFirst, which had cancelled all its flights until May 5, extended the same until May 9 on Thursday. "Due to operational reasons, GorFirst flights until May 9 are cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the cancellations. A full refund will be issued to the original mode of payment shirtly," the airline announced on its social media handle. Before this, the troubled airline, which has also filed for voluntary insolvency resolution before the NCLT, had cancelled all its flights from May 3 to 5."Is the airline playing with the flyers. Since two days now, we have been asking for the status of my flight from Pune to Bengaluru for May 7. They are not giving any proper answers on social media and their customer service numbers are always unreachable. The airfares are so high now and I don't know whether I will get a refund for this flight immediately or it will go the Jet Airways way. In all this mess, the government isn't responding to the perils of flyers too," a Pune based flyer told TOI. Another flyer, who had booked nine tickets for a travel from Mumbai to Delhi on an emergency for May 6, said that she was perplexed and angry. "From Delhi, we have to travel to Haridwar for some important religious event. This information should have come to us well in advance so that we could have properly planned the trip again," the flyer pointed out.
